Abstract:
In order to address the issue of connecting beams and columns in light steel composite structures,a prefabricated concrete roof structure system with studs connections was proposed. A full-scale prefabricated recycled concrete roof consisting of 3 prefabricated concrete one-way slabs was designed, which were connected using the assembled self-tapping nail set connection nodes.Through out-of-plane stress performance testing, the damage process and failure state of the roof system were studied, and an analysis was conducted on its deformation capacity, load carrying capacity, stiffness, and strain characteristics. ABAQUS finite element calculation software was utilized to analyze different working conditions. The results demonstrate that the prefabricated concrete roof exhibits excellent external force performance and effectively connects with the light steel composite frame through studs. The assembled self-tapping nail sets ensure reliable connection between the plates while enabling bidirectional loading on the roof.Furthermore,ABAQUS calculations indicate that increasing the number of self-tapping nail sets, reinforcing ratio of the roof, number of studs and increase the thickness of the floor slab can enhance its bearing capacity and stiffness to some extent. © 2025 Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
