Abstract:
In order to investigate the seismic performance of a recycled concrete frame-shear wall structure with energy dissipation braces, two frame-shear wall structures were tested on shaking table, including one recycled coarse aggregate concrete model structure, and one recycled coarse aggregate concrete model structure with energy dissipation braces. The dynamic characteristics, dynamic responses, and failure modes of the two model structures in different stages were analyzed and compared through the results from the tests. The tests and analysis results show that the seismic performance of the recycled coarse aggregate concrete frame-shear wall structure with energy dissipation braces is highly improved, and it is able to well satisfy the aseismic capacity according to the current code for seismic design of buildings.
