Abstract:

To improve the reliability of macroscopic road network evaluation, this paper studies road network rigional division methods, proposes the traffic grid definition of road network, and then redefines the urban road network by taking the traffic grids as basic elements. The spatial autocorrelation theory-based road network regional division method is proposed by analyzing the characteristics of road network operation. This modified method can reflect the influence between adjacent regional units, and improve the reliability of road network regional division. Finally, this research takes Beijing as a case, and divides the road network into regional units based on multi-source traffic data. Result shows that it is useful for scientifically describing the fluctuation and evolution of road network operation status.
