Abstract:
Expressions of miRNA in human mesenchymal stem cells derived from umbilical cord and bone marrow were detected by microarray. Results indicated that the expressions of a set of 26 miRNA were different in UMSCs and BMSCs. miR-29b, miR-20a, miR-31, miR-20b and miR-106a exhibited higher expressions in UMSCs, and fold changes were higher than 3. However, miR-138 demonstrated lower expression. Based on this study, 6 miRNAs of particular interests were confirmed by real-time PCR, and the results coincidented with those of mircoarray. Target genes predictive were correlated with mRNA transcript, translation, and the functions of cell proliferation, division, and signal transduction.
