Abstract:
Effects of both rare earth elements and polarization electric field were combined to obtain a series of new photocatalysts, Bi2ZnOB2O6: xY(3+). Tests results showed that the Y3+ had doped into the BZBO lattice and reduced the band gap. The optimum photodegradation activity of Bi2ZnOB2O6: xY(3+) was 1.57 times as higher as the pure Bi2ZnOB2O6 in Rhodamine B photodegradation. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of Bi2ZnOB2O6: xY(3+) was mainly ascribed to the dopants and polarization electric field in promoting the photoabsorption ability and separation of photogenerated electrons and holes.
