Abstract:

Experimental study and numerical analysis been completed for a high-rise isolated steel frame model with aspect ratio 5 and 2.5 in the paper. The experiment results show that the high-rise isolated structure with small and large aspect ratio have good isolation effect under the earthquake. The shear deformation is more occurred for the small aspect ratio and the bend and shear deformation is occurred for the large aspect ration isolation structure. The bend and shear deformation of superstructure is important for the large aspect ratio high-rise isolated structure and super high-rise isolated structure.
