Abstract:
The soil-structure finite element model of DAIKAI subway station damaged in 1995 kobe earthquake was built by two dimensional plane strain element, in full accordance with the actual structure size and ground information of DAIKAI subway station. Both dynamical response and damage process of DAIKAI subway station were simulated based on XN and UD acceteration time histories recorded at 83 m underground in port istand in kobe earthquake, while dynamical non-linearity was considered by both equivalent damp and equivalent shear modulus of soil inthe earthquake. The damage mechanism of DAIKAI subway station in the earthquake was studied. The damage types of middle column, side wall and roof were analyzed.
