Abstract:

An experimental investigation on heat transfer characteristics for a kind of micro capillary groove evaporator was carried out in this paper. HFE-7100 was used as working fluid. This kind of working fluid was applied for all three evaporators with different dimensions, and the optimal ratio of depth on width of micro groove for the evaporator was obtained. A maximum heat flux of 200.49 W was successfully transferred while maintaining the junction temperature at 86.18C. The experimental results show that this kind of evaporator could be capable of heat dissipation for high power electronic chips.
