Abstract:

Ambient Intelligence represents the newest generation computing mode, and brings some new requirements for the traditional machine vision. In this paper, firstly, new features of machine vision applications under AmI environment are discussed, and a conceptual AmI optical perception model is given. Then, the developing trend of the machine vision based on optical perception application system is discussed. After that, the Optical perception model in AmI application system is given. An AmI C-T (Computing-Transporting) dilemma problem is proposed, and the E-A-E (Embedded-AmI-Embedded) model is given according to it. This model is put in use in the AmI-FO project. Finally, some important issues and future research of AmI optical perception model are introduced.
