Abstract:
In order to solve the problem of poor intergranular corrosion of Ni alloy which exists in welding, a new flux-cored wire is prepared by adding a small amount element Ti. Chemical composition, crystal phase, and metallurgical microstructure of deposited metals after welding were analyzed by optical microscope, XRD and SEM. The intergranular corrosion resistance was investigated by the test method, ASTM G28 A. The result shows that Mo content of precipitates which mainly exist in grain boundary is more than that of substrate in deposited metal and the content of Ni is adverse. The separations of rich molybdenum phases lead to the existence of Mo-depleted zones in their vicinity, which will experience preferential corrosion. When the contents of Mo and Cr are the same, the property intergranular corrosion resistance with adding trace element Ti is good, which explains that Ti can prevent intergranular corrosion effectively.
