Abstract:
A series of InVO4/SBA-15 were prepared by using the surfactant-templating hydrothermal strategy and the support of SBA-15. The morphologies, crystal structures, surface areas, and light absorption properties of the synthesized InVO4/SBA-15 were characterized by means of XRD, TEM, EDX, BET, and UV-Vis DRS techniques, respectively. And the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution properties of InVO4/SBA-15 were investigated in prue water or aqueous methanol solution. The results indicate that InVO4/SBA-15 with high surface areas are obtained when the well-defined ordered pore structures of SBA-15 are maintained at the appropriate preparation condition. Owing to the support effects of SBA-15, the light absorption ability of InVO4/SBA-15 can be much improved in visible light region. Under visible light irradiation, InVO4/SBA-15 calcined at 600C exhibits good photocatalytic activity due to the big surface areas, which can also be related to the loading weight of InVO4.
