Abstract:
A dynamical and nonsmooth model with two-degrees-of-freedom for an automotive disc braking system was established. Herein, the effect of the rotor speed on the system's dynamical behavior was focused on by numerical method. The results indicate that there exist complicated nonlinear dynamical phenomena, such as chaos and period-adding bifurcation, in the automotive disc braking system.
