Abstract:

A new invariant-generation scheme is presented for overcoming high order moments instability and noise sensitivity. By selecting orthogonal basis function, phase function is constructed. Regarding the phase function as model function, new moment invariants were generated. This method combines the global invariants with local features. Analysis and experiments indicate that this method can find the new invariants effectively and leads to a better retrieval results.
