Abstract:
Based on a questionnaire of driver psychological and behavioral reaction under emergency, this paper improved the Gipps car-following model and proposed a new emergency evacuation car-following model based on the minimum safety distance. The model contains statistical distribution of driver behavioral differential and experiential estimate. Compared with car-following models which were established under normal traffic condition, it can be more really reflecting actual traffic state under emergency evacuation by incorporating driver mental and behavioral reaction into model development.
