Abstract:
Sm2Fe17Nx sintered magnet was fabricated by spark plasma sintering (SPS) technique. The effects of sintering pressure, sintering temperature and rapid heating on the magnetic properties of Sm2Fe17Nx magnet were investigated. The results show that the densities of the magnets are obviously improved with the increase of sintering pressure, but the coercivity of the magnets drop distinctly since Sm2Fe17Nx decomposed into SmN, α-Fe and N2. It is founded that the coercivity of the magnets also decrease rapidly when sintering temperature is above 200°C under 1GPa sintering pressure, which indicates that high pressure promote the decomposition of Sm2Fe17Nx at low temperature. And the decomposition of Sm2Fe17Nx can not be effectively restrained by using rapid sintering at 450°C/min.
