Abstract:

In order to investigate the mechanisms of aortic dissection, the mechanics of the initiation, propagation and treatment of aortic dissection were analyzed and reviewed. The mechanism of aortic dissection induced by the motion and deformation of aortic arch was analyzed. A novel viewpoint with the mechanism of stress concentration and fatigue failure contributed to the propagation of aortic dissection was proposed. The hemodynamics simulation of bypass grafting treatment for De Bakey III aortic dissection was introduced.
