Abstract:

In order to enhance the photocatalytic reaction rate of formaldehyde, the photocatalytic technology was combined with active carbon adsorption technology. Based on the fastness and the higher activity of TiO2 film, the transfer of HCHO to the surface TiO2 film was enhanced for the adsorption of active carbon and the local HCHO concentration on the surface of TiO2 film was increased. The experimental results shown that the photocatalytic reaction rate of HCHO was improved and the adsorption saturation of active carbon was delayed, so the life of TiO2 film was prolonged. From above results it can conclude that the combination of activated carbon and photocatalytic technology is an application future of photocatalytic technology.
