Abstract:

To describe whether the start time of signal control timing planning in intersection adapts to changeable traffic flow, the conception of control scheme reliability is defined and the calculation method is also discussed. By using collected traffic data and signal timing scheme, this method is applied into the evaluation of traffic control system. The result shows that defining the conception of control scheme reliability and using the method to confirm the fixed timing scheme can adapt to changeable traffic flow better.
