Abstract:

A shaking table test is done on a representative subway station structure to study the dynamic performance of underground structure in the earthquake. The paper introduces the test which includes the decision of model similarity ratio, the design of model box, the manufacturing of structure model, the layout of monitored points, the preparation of model soil and the loading plan of the input earthquake waves and so on. Some test phenomenon are also introduced. From the test, it concludes that the underground structure may be damaged during earthquakes.
