Abstract:
The environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM) allows the examination of thermo-sensitive hydrogels in their natural state without the need for coating or drying. The observation parameters can be tailored to observe the porosity and true microstructure of the thermo-sensitive hydrogels. It was shown in-situ and dynamic process that the present of the thermo-sensitive hydrogels was deswelling with changing the temperature and pressure parameters in the range of 2°C - 50°C and 300 Pa - 600 Pa.
