Abstract:
Based on the engineering background of a prefabricated subway station in China, a three-dimensional numerical model of soil-structure interaction was established on the basis of finite element software ABAQUS. A concept of 'vertical to horizontal ratio (VHR)' for seismic influence of underground structures was put forward. By comparing the horizontal and vertical seismic time history analysis, the seismic responses of assembled structure were explored. Vertical seismic effects compared to horizontal seismic effects: The maximum interlayer displacement difference was reduced by 1.89mm (VHR: 45.38%), the maximum angle of the vault increased 0.008° (VHR: 126.67%), the structural shear force had the greatest impact (VHR: 112.02%), the second bending moment (VHR: 102.12%), the minimum axial force (VHR: 93.74%). The VHR of the ground center caused by different directions of seismic wave radiation is basically the same as the PGA ratio of seismic wave (2/3). The structure was relatively sensitive to vertical seismic, had excellent resistance to deformation and mechanical properties as a whole. © 2020 ISRM.
