Abstract:

Interference analysis is crucial for the frequency sharing between satellite services according to the regulations and recommendations of International Telecommunications Union (ITU). For the fixed-satellite service (FSS) earth stations of our neighboring country in 8025-8400 MHz frequency band, the interference problems of FSS earth stations into earth exploration-satellite (EESS) service earth stations in specific link scenario are discussed via theoretical analysis and simulation calculation in this paper. The simulation results show that the interference of FSS earth stations into EESS earth stations currently registered at ITU meets the limit value of the recommendations, however the interference into the assumed EESS earth station cannot meet the limit value. The analyzed and simulated results can be references for the international coordination between the earth exploration satellite systems and communication satellite systems of neighboring countries in this band. © 2019 IEEE.
