Abstract:

This paper reports structure design, sensing principle and numerical simulation of a novel gyroscope based on multidirectional jet flow generator. The finite element analysis method and COMSOL Multiphysics software were used to calculate the airflow field distribution and motion feature in the generator. The results indicate that: (1) When the angular velocity ranged from 0 to 60rad/s along the Z axis was applied, the deflection of flow is increasingly obvious with the increasing of angular velocity and linearly proportional to applied angular velocity. (2) The distance between hotwires and nozzle is LX=1.4-1.6 mm and that between hotwires and central axis of nozzle is LY=0.33-0.35 mm, respectively. © 2018 IEEE.
