Abstract:
T Substantial studies have been conducted on the force analysis and design issues of the anchorage zone of prestressed concrete structure and significant discrepancies exist within different methodologies and the respective results in different countries. In the proposed research, local stress of the anchorage zone of single-eccentric straight anchor with rectangular section was analysed and the effect of pressure-bearing ratio λ and eccentricity γ on the stress distribution in the anchorage zone was studied. Based on the stress analysis, the single-eccentric straight anchor was categorised into small eccentricity, large eccentricity and critical eccentricity. The respective strut-and-tie design model was proposed. Finally, equations to predict the cracking load of single-eccentric straight anchor were proposed and verified by comparing the results based on the experiments. © 2016 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
