Abstract:
As the prevalent of information technology, the urban management became more and more dependent on information. Subsequently, the wanton propagation of harmful information often cause very serious damage on normal urban order, and is becoming a critical problem faced by modern urban management. In order to gain insight in the harmful information propagation and hold back it effectively, an experiment and analysis method is need. In this paper a harmful information propagation model for urban management is presented based on discrete event simulation. This model is constructed based on the individual behavior. Thus, it can be abstracted more directly and be extended more easily. In addition, this model possesses higher fidelity compare to traditional model. Finally, some experiments are conducted with this model. Simulation results demonstrate that this model can work well in urban management. © 2011 IEEE.
