Abstract：

This　paper　selects　five　crossing　places　to　study　road　and　junction　crossings.　The　five　places　include:　1)　the　road　crossing　near　the　intersection,　2)　a　multiple-roadway　(at　least　three)　crossing,　3)　the　road　crossing　near　a　bus　stop,　4)　the　intersection,　and　5)　the　intersection　within　one　of　imports　is　three-dimensional　form　of　crossing.　Based　on　the　survey,　this　paper　gives　a　summary　of　the　main　factors　leading　to　a　traffic　crash　from　road　users＇　behavior,　safety　measurements,　traffic　channelization,　and　so　on.　In　order　to　reduce　conflicts　and　improve　the　safety　of　vulnerable　road　users,　improvement　countermeasures　are　provided.　We　adopt　the　multi-criteria　method　-　Analytic　Hierarchy　Process　(AHP)　to　structure　an　evaluation　system　for　vulnerable　road　users,　as　well　as　to　evaluate　the　effectiveness　of　the　measures　above.　©　2011　ASCE.
