Abstract:
The emergence of Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) have been considered as a promising technology for their self-configuring, self-optimizing and self-healing capabilities. However, the power limited character may incur some nodes become to selfish nodes in order to conserve their processing power and limit other's use of their network bandwidth. The node in Wireless Mesh Networks does not become to malicious node immediately while some nodes' invasion is not one action for accomplishment, but a series of activities. In this paper, we propose a novel time-sequence based trust management model aiming at forecast the possibility for the situation of Wireless Mesh Networks potential damage based on sequence of time-related acts. According to the trust evaluation result, the report is offered to warning the malicious trendy for the nodes, and then the nodes can take some measure to preventing from potential threaten. Our time-sequence based trust management can achieve security goal well in Wireless Mesh Networks. ©2010 IEEE.
