Abstract:
Software license is the most well-used technology in copyright protection of commercial software and shareware, as well as the development and management of free software and open source software. There are several different license types that allow controlled access of services. The two most popular types are the fixed license, which gives access rights for an identified workstation, and the floating license, which restricts the number of simultaneous users to a certain bound. In this paper, we propose a floating license system, called MFFLS, which efficiently implements the management and protection of software. ©2009 IEEE.
