According　to　the　successful　experiences　of　highway　design　in　developed　countries,　elementary　truck　escape　ramp　design　schemes　are　given　for　China　mountainous　area＇s　highway,　based　on　different　kinds　of　geological　conditions,　and　considering　highway　factors.　Constructive　advices　in　the　design　are　given　too.　The　study　collected　data　for　China　Criterion　of　truck　escape　ramp　design,　and　will　enhance　the　safety　of　mountainous　area＇s　highway.
