Special events are an important part of our daily life. During the special events, the relative subway station will involve a large number of pedestrians converging in a short amount of time. So, whether pedestrian organization of subway station is prepared well enough should be evaluated in advance. The involvement of pedestrian simulation can compare and evaluate the scenarios and thus be able to improve the service quality of traffic facilities. In this paper, a process on how to make an organization scenario with the help of pedestrian simulation tools is given following a brief overview of the pedestrian model research. Then the legion 2006 studio was used to test the pedestrian traffic organization plans of a typical subway station involved during the Olympic Games. At last, some improvement measures were given based on the simulation results. © 2009 ASCE.
