Abstract:
The physical and mechanical properties of Crumb Rubber Recycled aggregate Concrete (CRRC) are studied in this article. The test results show that the workability of fresh CRRC is improved by incorporating of Crumb Rubber, and the density of CRRC can be reduced significantly. The compressive strength and splitting strength of CRRC are close to that of Crumb Rubber Concrete (CRC), but much lower than that of Recycled aggregate Concrete (RAC). After modified by Redispersible Polymer Powder (RPP) who play a role of 'bridge' which can improve the crack resistance ability of CRRC, the ratio of splitting strength to compressive strength increase significantly. That means the plastic deformation capacity of CRRC was improved a lot.
