Abstract:
Because the difference among mother electrocardiogram( MECG)'attractors, fetal ECG (FECG)'s and other noise's, a local linear projection technique is presented for extraction FECG from an abdominal ECG recording of a pregnant woman. The basic idea of the technique is the identification of the hyperplane containing the FECG signal and projection the noisy data onto this manifold. Visual test results obtained from mimic and real ECG signals show that the proposed algorithm is capable of reliably extracting the FECG from one lead only. Also its performance is compared to Widrow's multi-reference adaptive filtering method. The experimental outcome demonstrates the power of the technique in this important biomedical application. © 2008 IEEE.
