THz spectrum and ionic polarizability of PbB4O7 crystal - Details

Abstract：

The　terahertz　refractive　index　n(ν)　of　lead　tetraborate　(PbB　4O7)　crystal　decreases　due　to　vanish　of　the　ionic　polarizabilities　in　sequence　of　the　Pb2+,　O2-　and　B　3+　ions　when　the　frequency　increasing.　The　ionic　polarizabilities　are　calculated　by　the　Clausius-Mossotti　relation,　αPb　is　0.42810-24cm3　and　α0　is　0.04910-24cm3　respectively.　©IEEE.
