Abstract:
This study on attractive region of rail transit station is based on the travel time from original position to rail transit station. Diversification of attractive region caused by traffic service level is not considered adequately in current practices. In order to consider the effect of traffic service level, the traveler behavior is studied and disaggregate model of rail station selection based on the theory of the maximum travel utility is established. The utility of rail traffic station selection is determined by the colligation of individual characters, travel characters and traffic service level. Based on the result of utility and Reilly's Formula, attraction of the rail transit station and the attraction intensity of the given position around the station are given. Furthermore, attractive region of both isolated stations and stations in the rail network are studied. Copyright ASCE 2007.
