Abstract:
Emerging technology has the potential to create a new industry and change the structure of traditional industry. The commercialization of emerging technology is an important measure for enterprises and countries to acquire competitive capacity. The viewpoint of this paper is that, as a developing country, the commercialization of emerging technology in China will encounter some challenges, such as the uncertainty of technology and market, the scarcity of complementary assets and the 'Latecomers' Unfavorable Position'. So that it requires not only the enterprises to change the traditional management manner, but also the government to decrease the uncertainty of technology and market and enhance the success rate of technology commercialization through increasing R&D investment, strengthening institutional building, improving Technological Infrastructure, promoting the system of investing and financing, and implementing government procurement.
