Abstract:

This study introduced the use and principle of Crash Severity Prediction Model (CSPM). Base on the collected data of freeway CSPM was established with Multinomial Logistic Regression method, and the result indicated that city_rural variable, the speed difference between cars and large vehicles and truck percent age have large influence on the crash severity. Finally the direction and focus of CSPM study of future were explored.
