Abstract:

After the architecture design of a project has been finished, the style and shape would be confirmed, but the configuration would still have more than one alternative to be chosen. So it is necessary to evaluate the dynamic performance and wind induced response of each alternative; however, it is unrealistic to measure the dynamic capability of each structural alternative by wind tunnel test of the aeroelastic modeling. Therefore, a more feasible method is induced, which uses the time series of wind pressure got by one time wind tunnel test of aerorigid model in conjunction with the finite element method to calculate the wind-induced response for several times. This article also introduces the procedure and main results of wind tunnel test and successive analysis for Shi Mao project in Shanghai.
