Abstract:

A macroscopic calculating model is put forward to analyze short limb shear wall with concealed bracings. The stiffness matrix of Link element in SAP2000 is deduced and the defining method of linear effective stiffness is developed. The reasonable force - displacement relationship for the Link element is selected. Push over analysis using the macroscopic model composed with Link element on short limb shear walls with and without concealed bracings is carried out. The calculated top force - displacement curves agree well with that of experiments, which indicate that the macroscopic model is reasonable.
