Abstract:

Current measures to improve the seismic performance of RC short columns from different ways in the world are summarized. To better improve the seismic performance of the RC short column, the reinforced concrete short column of rectangle section with concealed bracings is introduced in this paper, and the experimental researches of the seismic performance of seven RC short columns are finished. The results of experimental study prove that the reinforced concrete short column of rectangle section with concealed bracings has better seismic performance than common short column.
