Abstract:
The experimental study on the seismic behavior of three 1/3 scale mid-rise shear walls, including a midrise shear wall with steel frame, a mid-rise shear wall with steel truss and a usual one, has been made. Based upon the experimental study, the stiffness and its attenuation, bearing capacity, ductility, hysteresis property and failure phenomena of each shear wall are contrastively analyzed. The experimental results show that the seismic behavior of the mid-rise shear wall with steel frame has been obviously improved and the seismic behavior of the mid-rise shear wall with steel truss has been observably improved compared with the usual one.
