Abstract:
The experimental studies on the seismic behavior of three 1/3 scale high-rise shear walls, including a high-rise shear wall with steel frame, a high-rise shear wall with steel truss and a usual one, has been completed. Based upon the experimental studies, the stiffness and its attenuation, bearing capacity, ductility, hysteresis property and failure phenomena of the shear walls are analyzed and contrasted each other. The experimental results show that the seismic behavior of the high-rise shear walls with concealed steel frame has been obviously improved and the seismic behavior of the high-rise shear wall with concealed steel truss has been significantly increased in comparison with the usual one.
