Abstract:
The color matching of tri-chromatic and tetra-chromatic white LEDs was designed according to mixing primary colors. In the condition of correlated color temperature of (5 500±20) K, the relationship of the color rendering index and luminous efficiency of radiation with the peak emission wavelength and spectral width was obtained in the region of visible light with mixing multiple primary colors. The maximum color rendering index value of tri-chromatic and tetra-chromatic white LEDs is respectively 89 and 96.7, corresponding to luminous efficiency of radiation value of 353 lm/W and 340 lm/W. And the simulation results indicate that both the color rendering and its stability are improved by adding the number of primary colors.
