Abstract:

The location method of emergency evacuation signs in large pedestrian facilities was presented, in order to ensure the spatial and temporal continuity of signs indication in pedestrian emergency evacuation. Considering the geometry characteristics of regular triangle, the radius and ratio of signs service, the distance of pedestrian evacuation and the chain cluster of evacuation route, two methods of "filling with tangent-circles" and "setting at hinge node" were introduced to locate evacuation signs respectively in no-obstacle and existing-obstacle pedestrian facilities. The computation of the chain cluster of evacuation route and the labeling of hinge node in pedestrian facilities were carried out based on the partitioning of cellular automaton and the shorter path search. Through two cases, the procedure of the location of emergency evacuation signs was presented in pedestrian facilities with and without evacuation obstacles.
