Abstract:
Fe-Cr-C-Ti hardfacing alloys with different Ti contents were prepared by gas-shielded flux cored arc welding on Q235 steel. The microstructures were investigated by SEM, XRD and EPMA. The abrasive wear resistance performance of the welded surfacing layers was evaluated on the MLS-225 grain-abrasion testing machine. The abrasive wear mechanics was studied on the observation of surface topography by the micro examination and energy spectrum analysis. It is indicated that with the increasing of Ti content, the content of TiC increases. The carbides distribute more symmetrical, but significantly decrease when Ti content is up to 7.5%. The results show that the alloy with 5.5 %Ti has better wear resistance.
