Abstract:
In order to study the tension variations in the self-anchored suspension bridge, based on the 1/20 scale model test of Yunmeng bridge in Miyun Beijing, the construction process of the self-anchored suspension bridge with single-tower was investigated in this paper. Five kinds of suspender stretching schemes were compared. The tension variations in the suspenders were presented during the construction process based on the structural system transformation of self-anchored suspension bridge with single-tower. The results showed that the second stretching scheme is more feasible for the construction process. The FEM numerical model of the self-anchored suspension bridge was established and its results were analyzed against the experimental data, which showed the similar variation trend. The conclusions could provide some valuable experimental references for the design of the same type of bridge and its construction control. ©, 2015, Beijing University of Technology.
