Abstract:

By researching on data modeling for complicated entities, a star model based on extended-relational database was designed to present the 3D landscape. This model can not only reduce the complexity and amounts of data of 3D landscape, but also make full use of the organization manipulating and controlling function that the relational database has, so it can support different display manner for landscape effectively.
