Abstract:
In this paper, reinforced concrete core walls with concealed bracings is put forward based on the study of RC shear wall with concealed bracings. Through the contrast experimental study on one 1/6 scale normal reinforced concrete core walls and one 1/6 scale reinforced concrete core walls with concealed bracings under the low cyclic loading, the effects of concealed bracings on the bearing capacity, stiffness, ductility, energy dissipation, hysteresis property and failure phenomena of reinforced concrete core walls are discussed. The experiment shows that concealed bracings are able to improve greatly the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete core walls.
