Abstract :
Since the nanostructure was introduced to modify thermoelectric properties in 1993, many efforts have been devoted to fabricate nanostructures and investigate the electrical and thermal transports in nanostructured materials. Compared with low-dimensional materials, nanocomposites not only exhibit nanofeatures but also can be fabricated in large quantities and compatible with practical thermoelectric devices in scale and shape. This article reviews the background of nanocomposites, then the Mg-2(Si0.4Sn0.6)Bi-x solid solutions. High-manganese silicides with MnSi (HMS-MnSi), and In4-xGdxSe3 compounds are selected as examples to illustrate the combination effect of nanostructure and dopants on thermoelectric properties. In situ nanostructures successfully formed during the rapid cooling and spark-plasma sintering processing and elemental doping were achieved via melting processing. Electrical conductivities were enhanced as a result of the increased carrier concentration or carrier mobility by elemental doping. Meanwhile, thermal conductivities decreased as a result of the strong phonon scattering intensified by nanostructures. The ZTs for the specimens with optimal doping ratio were enhanced in these three types of thermoelectric materials.

Abstract :
Samarium hexaboride (SmB6) predicted to be a topological Kondo insulator, is the first strongly correlated heavy fermion material to exhibit topological surface states. In this work, the high quality SmB6 single crystal have been successfully grown by the floating zone method and the electrical transport at low temperature was measured at Oxford Instruments Heliox VL. The results show that the electrical resistivity displays a sharp increase below 20 K, which value is about 105 higher than that of room temperature. And the Hall resistivity, which is linear, yielding an n-type carrier concentration as indicated (low T regime).

Abstract :
The high quality LaxCe1 B-x(6) (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 1) single crystals with large emission current density have been successfully grown by floating zone method. The crystal structure, crystal quality and emission properties of LaxCe1 B-x(6) single crystals were characterized by 360 degrees Phi scanning single crystal diffractometer, X-ray Laue diffraction and the thermal electron emission measurements. It is found that the as-grown crystals have a good crystal quality without subgrains and twin crystal phenomenon. The thermionic emission measurement results show that the maximum emission current density on (100) surface of La0.2Ce0.8B6 single crystal is 71.2 A/cm(2) at 1873 K under an applied voltage of 800 V, which is larger than the reported values in the literatures up to now. Furthermore, the crystals with different components also show a higher emission current density such as 53.8A/cm(2) for La0.4Ce0.6B6 and 53.3 A/cm(2) for CeB6 single crystals. The field emission single tip made by LaB6 single crystal shows a superior performance than the polycrystalline LaB6 field emission tip and its field enhancement factor (beta) is 36,231 cm (1). Thus, the LaxCe1 B-x(6) single crystals will have promising application prospects as a hot or cold cathode. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract :
The inherently high magnetic anisotropy and nanoscale grain size in a Sm5Co19 compound result in an intrinsic coercivity far higher than those of known Sm-Co compounds prior to orientation treatment. The combination of ultrahigh intrinsic coercivity, high Curie temperature and low coercivity temperature coefficient of nanocrystalline Sm5Co19 as a single phase material shows it to be a very promising compound to develop outstanding high-temperature permanent magnets.

Abstract :
本发明提供磁制冷材料的一种制备工艺,所述磁制冷材料的化学通式为:Mn(2‐x)Fe(x)P(1‐y)Ge(y),x的范围为:0.8~0.9,y的范围为 : 0.2~0.27;其特征在于包括以下步骤:(1)所用原材料为锰、铁、磷粉末、锗碎片,纯度为99.9~99.9999wt%,将原材料连续球磨0.5~4小时;(2)将球磨粉末在400~600℃真空或保护气氛下预退火2~30min,采用放电等离子烧结技术对粉末进行烧结,烧结真空度高于6Pa,升温速度为60~120℃/min,升温至烧结温度后保温,烧结温度为880~950℃,烧结压力为10~40MPa,保温时间为2~30min,烧结完成后随炉冷却至室温。本发明通过烧结前预退火,使材料晶粒大小得到控制,且成分分布更均匀,使磁熵变显著增大,提高磁热效应。

Abstract :
本发明涉及一种室温磁制冷材料及其制备工艺,磁制冷材料的化学通式(原子百分比)为:Mn(2-x)Fe(x)P(1-y)Ge(y)Al(z),x的范围为:0.79~0.91;y的范围为 : 0.2~0.28;z的范围为:0.005~0.02。制备工艺为球磨机球磨+烧结技术。其优点是:所制备的磁制冷材料,通过添加Al元素,形成间隙原子存在于Fe2P晶体结构相中,稳定了相结构,提高了材料的居里温度。同时,材料的转变温区基本不变、磁熵略有增加或基本不变,滞后略有减少,改善了材料的磁热效应,可应用于磁制冷技术中。

Abstract :
一种制备高矫顽力和高耐蚀性烧结钕铁硼永磁材料的方法,属于磁性材料技术领域。将平均粒径1-10微米的镝锌纳米粉末加入到3-5微米钕铁硼基粉末中混合均匀,添加量为0.3-3.0%,然后在1.8T的磁场中取向并压制成型;置入真空烧结炉内,然后升高温度在1000-1100℃烧结3-5小时,最后分二级进行热处理,一级热处理温度850℃-950℃,时间1-3小时;二级热处理温度460℃-600℃,时间1-3小时;最终获得高矫顽力和高耐蚀性的烧结钕铁硼磁体。本发明在显著提高了磁体的矫顽力的同时大幅度提高了磁体的耐腐蚀性,而且在降低稀土含量方面也有所改善。

一种无需镀层的高耐蚀烧结钕-铁-硼永磁材料的制备方法,属于磁性材料技术领域。将平均粒径2-8微米的合金粉末CuxZnyAlzNb99-x-y-zCo0.4Zr0.3Ga0.3加入到3-5微米钕铁硼基粉末中混合均匀,添加量为0.5-5.0%,然后在1.8T的磁场中取向并压制成型;置入真空烧结炉内,然后升高温度在1000-1100℃烧结3-5小时,最后分二级进行热处理,一级热处理温度850℃-950℃,时间1-3小时;二级热处理温度460℃-600℃,时间1-3小时。本发明显著提高了磁体的耐腐蚀性,磁体无需镀层即可在器件中应用。

Abstract :
By the experimental modal testing to the main structure of a high-speed horizontal machining center, the modal parameters such as the natural frequency, damping ratio, stiffness and mode shapes are obtained. By analyzing the dynamic characteristics, the weak links of this structure is at the spindle front bearing and the vertical column on which the screw driving the spindle box to move in vertical direction is mounted are determined, and provide an important basis of optimizing the structure for the machining center. And the amplitude-frequency characteristic curves of the weak structure evaluate the dynamic stiffness as the key indicators to provide reliable data for improving processing accuracy and cutting ability of machining center. The analysis results show that experimental modal analysis is a effective test method for improving the anti-vibration performance and machining stability of domestic machining centers.

Abstract :
The relationship between riding comfort and pavement roughness were studied from the view point of the road users in this research. RMSSD was selected to study passengers' riding comfort as a main evaluation index. In this study, 12 pavement sections with roughness changing from 1.06 to 5.53 m/km were selected to conduct on driving test in field. Test results show that, under different driving speed RMSSD changes obviously when the pavement roughness changes. In combination with the subjective scoring method and acceleration evaluation method, the critical value of roughness based on comfort considerations is proposed at different speeds.
