Research on ultrasonic testing method for tangential contact stress based on equivalent medium theory SCIE

Abstract :

As a weak link, the joint surface of machine tools directly affects the stiffness and machining accuracy of the entire machine tool. However, obtaining the distribution of contact stress is a key problem that urgently needs to be solved in exploring the mechanical properties of joint surface connections. In this paper, a tangential contact stress ultrasonic testing method based on the equivalent medium theory is proposed, providing data support for accurately characterizing the contact state of the joint surface. A virtual material model of rough contact interface based on fractal theory is established to explore the coupling relationship between the propagation speed of ultrasonic critical refracted longitudinal waves, the tested object's material parameters, and stress. Moreover, the expression of the equivalent material parameters of the ultrasonic critical refracted longitudinal wave propagation layer with stress variation is derived. An ultrasonic acoustic time difference model considering changes in contact surface material parameters is constructed based on the principle of acoustic elasticity of ultrasound. Furthermore, a critical refractive detection model for longitudinal wave's tangential contact stress is established based on equivalent medium theory. Experimental specimens and stress detection plans are designed, and the tangential contact stress of the specimens is measured based on the division of surface grids. The equivalent stress value of each node is calculated based on the von Mises stress by measuring the stress in the X/Y direction. In addition, a shear stress distribution cloud map of the contact surface is drawn. Finally, the accuracy of the detection results is confirmed by combining theory, simulation, and experimental methods. The proposed tangential contact stress detection method based on critical refractive longitudinal waves is significant for lowstress assemblies.

Contact stress ultrasonic detection method based on contact acoustic resistance model SCIE

Abstract :

The size and distribution of the contact stress at the assembly interface will directly affect the connection performance of the mechanical joint. However, the rough assembly interface presents strong dielectric discontinuity and material nonlinearity, which become the bottleneck restricting the development of contact stress detection. How to obtain contact stress by nondestructive testing means has become an urgent problem to be solved. In this paper, a multi-layer interface contact stress detection method based on contact acoustic resistance model is proposed to solve the difficult problem of rough interface contact stress detection. Firstly, based on the formation mechanism of contact acoustic resistance of rough assembly interface, the equivalent contact acoustic resistance expression of contact layer is derived. Secondly, the contact mechanism of rough assembly interface is clarified, and the mapping relationship model between contact acoustic resistance and contact stress is constructed. On this basis, according to the transmission law of ultrasonic wave at different interfaces of multilayer acoustic impedance, the expression of acoustic transmission coefficient at the interface of variable acoustic impedance is obtained. A contact stress detection method based on contact stress-contact acoustic resistance coefficient and acoustic transmission coefficient is proposed. The correctness of the theoretical model is verified by the tensile testing machine, and the maximum error is 15.52 %. This method will provide powerful data support for the evaluation of assembly interface connection state.

Performance-Degradation Analysis of the Planetary Roller Screw Mechanism under Multi-Factor Coupling Effects SCIE

Abstract :

The performance-degradation pattern of the planetary roller screw mechanism (PRSM) is difficult to predict and evaluate due to a variety of factors. Load-carrying capacity, transmission accuracy, and efficiency are the main indicators for evaluating the performance of the PRSM. In this paper, a testing device for the comprehensive performance of the PRSM is designed by taking into account the coupling relationships among temperature rise, vibration, speed, and load. First, the functional design and error calibration of the testing device were conducted. Secondly, the PRSM designed in the supported project was taken as the research object to conduct degradation tests on its load-bearing capacity and transmission accuracy and analyze the changes in transmission efficiency. Third, the thread profile and wear condition were scanned and inspected using a universal tool microscope and an optical microscope. Finally, based on the monitoring module of the testing device, the vibration status during the PRSM testing process was collected in real time, laying a foundation for the subsequent assessment of the changes in the performance state of the PRSM. The test results reveal the law of performance degradation of the PRSM under the coupled effects of temperature, vibration, speed, and load.

Abstract :

Time-varying loads, manufacturing errors, and assembly errors are the main factors leading to the performance degradation of the planetary roller screw mechanism. This paper proposes a comprehensive analysis method for the performance degradation of the planetary roller screw mechanism caused by time-varying loads and manufacturing and assembly errors. Firstly, a simulation analysis model of the planetary roller screw mechanism was established and its effectiveness was verified. A quantitative analysis was conducted on the influence of manufacturing and assembly errors on the load distribution, revealing the load-bearing mechanism under the influence of errors. Secondly, loading experiments were conducted on the planetary roller screw mechanism, and the degradation of its load-bearing performance was divided into the normal degradation stage, the accelerated degradation stage, and the failure stage. The experimental results prove that the initial transmission accuracy has a significant impact on the degradation of the load-bearing performance, determining the occurrence of the node where the accelerated degradation stage appears in the load-bearing performance. Thirdly, the wear status of the threads and gears was examined, and the results showed that material peeling was the main factor causing the degradation of load-bearing performance.

Abstract :

The bolted joint is widely used in heavy-duty CNC machine tools, which has huge influence on working precision and overall stiffness of CNC machine. The process parameters of group bolt assembly directly affect the stiffness of the connected parts. The dynamic model of bolted joints is established based on the fractal theory, and the overall stiffness of joint surface is calculated. In order to improve the total stiffness of bolted assembly, an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm with combination of time-varying weights and contraction factor is proposed. The input parameters are preloading of bolts, fractal dimension, roughness, and object thickness. The main goal is to maximize the global rigidity. The optimization results show that improved algorithm has better convergence, faster calculation speed, preferable results, and higher optimization performance than standard particle swarm optimization algorithm. Moreover, the global rigidity optimization is achieved.

基于数字孪生的机身对接精度优化控制方法

Abstract :

针对传统对接方法在缺少现场实测数据支持下的被动调整问题,提出基于数字孪生的机身对接精度优化控制方法.基于数字孪生虚实结合技术,研究机身对接工艺优化反馈控制技术. 搭建融合冗余控制算法和工艺优化策略的数字孪生系统,明确了基于现场实测数据的测量-优化-反馈精度优化流程. 基于有限状态机理论,精准重建数字孪生模型,实现对接过程的监控和精度预测,根据同轴度评价指标完成工艺参数二次设计,将优化后的工艺参数重新下发至物理现场、控制现场进行对接. 对接位姿偏差对比结果表明:对接精度优化控制方法将机身筒段位置偏差降低了60.03%,姿态偏差降低了53.94%.

Intelligent Optimization Method of Piezoelectric Ejection System Design Based on Finite Element Simulation and Neural Network SCIE

Abstract :

This study describes an intelligent method for modeling and optimization of piezoelectric ejection system design for additive manufacturing. It is a combination of neural network (NN) techniques and finite element simulation (FES) that allows designing each parameter of a piezoelectric ejection system faster and more reliably than conventional methods. Using experimental and literature data, a FE model of the droplet ejection process was developed and validated to predict two indexes of droplet ejection behavior (DEB): jetting velocity and droplet diameter. Two artificial neural network (ANN) models based on feed-forward back propagation were developed and optimized by genetic algorithm (GA). A database was established by FE calculations, and the models were trained to establish the relationship between the piezoelectric ejection system design input parameters and each DEB indicator. The results show that both NN models can independently predict the droplet jetting velocity and droplet diameter values from the training and testing data with high accuracy to determine the optimal piezoelectric ejection system design. Finally, the accuracy of the prediction results of the FES and ANN-GA models was verified experimentally. It was found that the errors between the predicted and experimental results were 4.48% and 3.18% for the jetting velocity and droplet diameter, respectively, verifying that the optimization method is reliable and robust for piezoelectric ejection system design optimization.

本发明公开了一种内反馈式静压转台扇形单油垫实验装置,包括静压支撑系统,静压支撑系统由供油系统供油。静压支撑系统的上油垫、下油垫通过螺栓固定在支撑导轨上,支撑导轨设于U形支撑板内,上油垫、下油垫分别正对U形支撑板的上下内壁,U形支撑板与上油垫之间,U形支撑板与下油垫之间分别形成油膜厚度;内反馈的油路通过内孔隐藏在支撑导轨内部;支撑导轨由支撑杆支撑连接,U形支撑板的外部设有磁性水平尺;U形支撑板的底部设有压力传感器;压力传感器的底部设有竖向安装丝杠,由丝杠调节U形支撑板的高度;三个手轮与丝杠相连,通过转动手轮来调节丝杠高度;本发明可以检测单油垫的承载性能,不需要搭建整个静压转台,降低了成本。
