以北京等大城市信号交叉口行人过街安全问题为研究对象,对40个未设置行人安全岛和5个设置行人安全岛的信号交叉口进行了现场观测,研究分析了为方便行人二次过街、在道路中间分隔带设置行人安全岛的必要性,并提出了一种适合我国国情的安全岛设计型式.
